With 40+ years of fastener distribution experience, Bill Derry lends the strategic direction that has played a significant role in Field’s 20% year-over-year growth for the past 25 years. His varied background in product management, manufacturing management, applications and product engineering and quality assurances help to inspire Field's "technical approach to fastening" philosophy.
Bill is also a central figure in several outside industry organizations. He has been on the Board of Directors for – and previously was President of – the National Fastener Distributor Association (NFDA). In addition, he spent three years as a delegate to the Industrial Fastener Institute.
Field President Jim Derry has more than 25 years of Fastener Distribution experience. He is a six sigma black belt and believes strongly in lean principles to drive efficiency and continuous improvement. As President, Jim will ensure Field meets the needs of its global customer base and that Field has the infrastructure in place to sustain high growth.
Jim has a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Illinois and was previously Chairman and a two-time member of the National Fastener Distributor Association (NFDA) board. He also served as chairman of NFDA's Information & Technology Committee.
Chief Customer Officer
As Field’s Chief Customer Officer, Adam is focused on ensuring Field lives its mission statement, which is to have everyone who interacts with us LOVE us! Customer love plays a significant role in helping Field reach the company goal of sales over $100 million, both with retaining current customers as well as onboarding new customers. Under Adam’s leadership, Field’s technical sales team has helped Field achieve 19% year-over-year growth. He started at Field in 2006, and provides direction to our sales, marketing, VMI onsite services, and implementation teams. Adam is a part owner and is on the board of directors at Field. He is active in the fastener industry and currently serves as a board member for the National Fastener Distributor Association (NFDA).
Adam has a Bachelors Degree in both Marketing and Management from the University of Iowa. He studied International Business during a six month study abroad program in Turin, Italy. Adam is married with four children, and loves playing golf, watching the Cubs, cooking, and being with his family.
Vice President Operations & Logistics
With more than 19 years of fastener distribution experience under his belt, Doug is one of the driving forces behind Field's industry leading 99.8% average on-time customer delivery and 99.96% of orders shipped correctly. He oversaw Field's recent facility expansion and is heavily involved in Field's data-driven Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) and Continuous Improvement programs.
Prior to joining Field, Doug held a variety of roles across the globe, including head of lean manufacturing, leading ERP conversion initiatives and project management roles in the aerospace industry. Doug is a member of the Warehouse Educational Research Council (WERC) and Epicor’s WMS Advisory Council, and enjoys winter sports and spending time with family.
Vice President Supply Chain
With 36 years of fastener experience and as a Six Sigma Green Belt, Mark Andrews plays a significant role with developing strategic relationships all over the globe. Mark leads Field’s sourcing team and is actively involved in purchasing, inventory management, strategic sourcing, and quoting.
Mark has a Bachelor of Science degree from Rockford University. He has also completed the Harvard Business School Executive Development Program and the Michigan State University Eli Broad School Executive Development program focused on Strategic Supply Chain Management. Mark also has training in Harris Lean Systems/ Lean Scheduling.
Chief Engineer & Strategic Account Executive
Field Engineering Chief Gregg Cox comes to work every day with one goal in mind: provide Field customers with a competitive advantage through an engineering-based approach to fastening. With over 100+ engineering projects executed on an annual basis, no one is better than Gregg at employing techniques such as value-stream mapping, process-flow analysis and lean manufacturing principles to reduce costs and improve quality and efficiency.
As a certified DFM & DFMA trainer, Gregg also leads all Field engineering training initiatives, both internally and with Field customers, and is a member of the Mid-West Fastener Association.
Director of Information Technology
As the leader for Field’s IT team, Chad Olson works closely with the IT department to drive the utilization of current and new technologies to reach the strategic goals of the company. With 15 years of IT experience under his belt, Chad has been instrumental in helping Field transition from an outdated ERP system to a new platform to help us better serve our customers.
Chad is a Microsoft Certified Professional. In his spare time he loves being outdoors- hiking, biking, boating, and running.
Director of Quality and Engineering
Chris and his team of quality and application engineering professionals work daily with a single focus, to provide superior quality products and services by utilizing superior team members, systems, and suppliers. Chris brings more than 22 years of diverse manufacturing and engineering experience to Field where he leads Field’s quality and application engineering activities.
Chris has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a Masters of Business Administration from Rockford University.
Director of Human Resources
With almost 20 years of Human Resources experience in the distribution and manufacturing industries, Tina is passionate about providing the best possible work experience for our Team Members. This is accomplished by preserving and enhancing our culture, listening and acting on feedback, and fostering an open and honest atmosphere. Tina is responsible for finding outstanding talent to support Field’s continual growth, developing the talent within Field, and ensuring that Field remains a top Employer of Choice in the area.
Tina has a Bachelors Degree in both Psychology and Sociology from Illinois State University and has been certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources since 2012. She is also a member of the Rockford Area HR Society and has taken on mentorship roles to help support HR professionals in their early careers. In her free time Tina enjoys the outdoors, traveling, and spending time with her horses.
Vice President of Sales
As VP of sales, Don Slickman manages all aspects of sales for Field. Don began his career with Field in 2018 and is a vital asset to our team. Don leads a team that is focused on growing revenue and enhancing B2B sales, while driving sales strategy and market development. Don brought over twenty-five years of sales leadership experience. He also has extensive experience in selling directly to some of the world’s largest manufacturing companies.
In his free time, Don is very active with his family. He enjoys spending a lot of time outdoors, on the water, and on bikes.
General Manager of Field Mexico
As the general manager of Field Mexico, Eduardo Flores oversees all the different functional areas to ensure that they are aligned with Field US. He is responsible for guaranteeing the team follows our Core Values so our customers are well served. Eduardo has been with the Field Team since 2015 and brought more than 15 years of experience from the Automotive Industry. Eduardo has a Mechanical Engineering degree and a MBA from the UANL. (University of Nuevo Leon) Along with this, Eduardo also has a CPIM Certification. (Certified in Production and Inventory Management)
In his free time, Eduardo enjoys traveling and spending time with his Family.
