Written by Field Fastener | September 17, 2014

Field,  a global fastener distributor that provides value added activities and cost reduction solutions through their technical approach to fastening, announced today that it has been named one of America’s Safest Companies by EHS Today . Field is one of 18 companies across the country that has been selected for this honor.

Field has gone 776 consecutive days without a recordable work place injury and prides itself on having a work place that keeps team members safe. Field has a cross-functional Safety Team that meets monthly to address concerns and issues about safety at Field. The team makes recommendations and implements proactive ways to help keep Field a safe place to work. The Safety Team also conducts bi-monthly safety audits to catch Field team members in the act of being safe, and rewards them for doing so.

“Being selected as one of America’s Safest Companies is a great honor,” stated Field’s HR Director and Safety Coordinator, Tim Firm.  “Because the culture at Field places such a high value on people and relationships, working to keep one another safe is a natural result.  All Field Team members, daily looking out for one another, should feel proud of this recognition and motivated to continue to build on this achievement.”

EHS Today states that since 2002, America’s Safest Companies has honored 174 organizations for their unwavering commitment to worker safety and health and environmental stewardship.  To see the other companies that made the 2014 America’s Safest Companies list, please visit EHS Today’s announcement here: http://ehstoday.com/safety-leadership/america-s-safest-companies-safety-brings-you-home
